On this particular occasion, the House convened to discuss the motion of "This House Would Be A Student". This was a doubly special occasion for not only did we have three special guests in the form of local comedians, but the President also saw fit to waive the standing order on obscenities! Needless to say, much hilarity ensued. Annual General Meeting Of The 165th Session

Hello! Hello! And welcome to this! The annual general meeting of the one hundred and sixty-fifth session of the Queen's University of Belfast Literary and Scientific Society! On this particular occasion, the House convened to elect the council for the next academic year. What an event this was. We all barely survived, including the inanimate objects. The House invited a number of guest speakers to participate in this particular debate as it was thought that their expertise or experience in the area would greatly benefit the quality of the debate. Suffice it to say: the House was correct. On this particular occasion, the House convened to discuss the motion of "This House Supports The Right To Die". A delicate subject matter, to say the least. However I believe that the debate was conducted in a very professional and respectful manner, so hopefully everyone should be able to enjoy listening, regardless of their opinion on the matter. Godkin Debate - This House Believes Too Many People Go to University

On this particular occasion, the House convened to discuss the motion of "This House Believes Too Many People Go to University". This meeting of the Literific marks the 3rd (or 165th, depending on who you ask) annual Godkin debate, an event in which after all of the speakers have made their speeches a panel of judges convenes to decide which speaker most deserves to be given the Godkin award, arguably the most prestigious honour the Literific bestows.
