This was a doubly special occasion for not only did we have three special guests in the form of local comedians, but the President also saw fit to waive the standing order on obscenities! Needless to say, much hilarity ensued. Godkin Debate - This House Believes Too Many People Go to University
Hello! Hello! And welcome to this! The eighth ordinary meeting of the one hundred and sixty-fifth session of the Queen's University of Belfast Literary and Scientific Society! This meeting of the Literific marks the 3rd (or 165th, depending on who you ask) annual Godkin debate, an event in which after all of the speakers have made their speeches a panel of judges convenes to decide which speaker most deserves to be given the Godkin award, arguably the most prestigious honour the Literific bestows.
